What Scheduled P&L Does

Scheduled P&L reports email a performance summary on a recurring schedule — daily, weekly, or monthly. Each report includes revenue, cost, profit, margin, and lead counts broken down by campaign. Configure recipient lists, delivery time, and which campaigns to include.

Configuration

  • Go to Reports → Scheduled Reports → Create Report.
  • Set the report type (Daily, Weekly, Monthly).
  • Pick delivery time (account timezone).
  • Add recipients — comma-separated email addresses.
  • Select campaigns to include — pick specific ones or 'All campaigns'.
  • Set content options — full P&L vs summary-only, include/exclude returned leads.
  • Save. First report fires at the next scheduled delivery time.

Common Patterns

PatternSetup
Morning team standup dataDaily report at 7am to team@youragency.com — includes yesterday's full P&L
Client recap (shared campaigns)Weekly report on Mondays at 9am to client@theirfirm.com — limited to their campaigns only
Accounting recordMonthly report on the 1st at 9am to accounting@youragency.com — full month, all campaigns
Executive summaryDaily report at 8am to founder@youragency.com — summary-only, all campaigns

Client-facing scheduled reports build trust by giving clients automatic visibility into the performance they're paying for. Pair with the Client Portal for self-serve drill-down — recipients can click through from the email to see lead-level detail in their portal.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I send scheduled P&L reports to clients?
Yes — add their email to the recipient list and (optionally) limit the report to their campaigns. Pair with the Client Portal so they can click from the email to lead-level detail. For multi-client agencies, create one scheduled report per client with their campaigns scoped — each client sees only their own data.
What timezone is the delivery time in?
Your account-level timezone (Settings → Account). A 7am delivery time on a Pacific-account fires at 7am PT — recipients in other timezones see it earlier or later than their local 7am. For per-recipient timezone scheduling, create multiple reports with different times targeting different recipient lists.
Can I customize the P&L report format?
Two presets today: Full (all metrics, all campaigns broken out) and Summary (top-line totals only). Custom layouts are on the roadmap. For fully custom reports, use the CSV export and assemble in Google Sheets / Excel — or pipe via webhook automation to a custom report-generation script.
Do scheduled reports include returned leads?
Configurable. Default: net revenue (returns deducted). Toggle to gross revenue (pre-return) if your reporting context calls for it. Most agencies use net for internal team reporting and gross for sales-team-vs-buyer conversations. Choose per-report in the config.
Can I get a Slack notification instead of email?
Not natively in Scheduled Reports — email only. For Slack-delivered summaries, use Automations with a scheduled trigger that builds a Slack message via webhook. More work to configure but supports custom formatting and channel routing the email reports don't.
What if a scheduled report fails to send?
Failed sends are logged in the report's history view. Common reasons: invalid recipient email, mail provider blocking high-volume agency domains. Update the recipient or contact support if you suspect deliverability issues. Critical reports should have a fallback recipient on a different domain to catch delivery failures.
