Blocklists: Block Emails, Domains, IPs and Phone Numbers

Block a bad email, domain, IP address or phone number on every form, every API lead and every inbound call in your Lead Distro AI account, from one list.

What a Blocklist Does

A blocklist is one list for your whole account. Every lead that arrives (from your forms or posted to the API) is checked against it before duplicate checks or any paid lookup. Phone numbers on it are also checked for every inbound call on every calls campaign, before any destination is rung.

What You Can Add

EntryExampleWhat it matches
Emailspammer@example.comThat exact address
Domainmailinator.comEvery address at that domain and its subdomains
IP address203.0.113.45Leads submitted from that address
IP range203.0.113.0/24Leads submitted from any address in the range
Phone number(555) 010-0199Leads with that phone number, and calls from it

Paste one entry per line. Lead Distro AI works out what each line is. A phone number can be written any way: (555) 010-0199, 555-010-0199 and +1 555 010 0199 are the same number. For a number outside the US and Canada, start it with + and the country code.

Flag or Block

  • Flag keeps the lead but holds it back from your destinations. It shows on the lead as flagged by the blocklist and is never billed.
  • Block turns the lead away. No lead is created.
  • Calls from a blocked phone number are turned away with either choice, because a live caller cannot be held. The call still shows in your call log, marked as a blocked caller, and is never billed.

How to Add Entries

  • Go to Settings > Blocklists and make sure Turn blocklists on is switched on.
  • Click Add entries and paste your list, one per line.
  • Pick what happens on a match, add a note if you like, and click Add entries.
  • Changes take effect within a minute. Phone numbers are listed on the Phone numbers tab.

A calls campaign also has its own Caller Block List (campaign Settings > Caller Block List). Use it for a number you only want blocked on that one campaign. Use Settings > Blocklists to block a number everywhere at once.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the phone number stored?
No. Like an email, a phone number is stored scrambled (hashed), so the list shows it with the middle digits hidden, for example +1 (555) •••-0199. Add a note when you add it, so you remember why.
Are phone numbers shared with the network list?
No. The shared network list holds emails, domains and IP addresses only. Phone numbers you block stay in your account.
Does a phone number added to one form's blocklist stop calls?
No. A rule added from a form's settings applies to that form's leads only. Add the number under Settings > Blocklists to stop calls too.
