Send Visitors to the Thank-You Page of the Destination They Matched
Give each destination its own thank-you page URL. When a destination accepts a lead, Lead Distro AI returns that URL to your form, so the visitor sees who they were matched with.
Visitors answer the phone more often when they know who is calling. This setup sends each visitor to a thank-you page for the destination that bought their lead, for example mortgagesite.com/thank-you-acme. It works with any delivery method, including Zapier, email, and Google Sheets, because the URL is one you type in. The destination never has to send it back.
1. Turn on the reply values for the campaign
- Open the campaign, then Settings > Customize Source API Response.
- Turn it on and add the key redirect_url.
- Set how long we wait for the destination. About 8 seconds suits most forms.
2. Give each destination its URL
- Open a destination on the campaign's Routing tab and scroll to Customize Source API Response, under Parse Post Response. Keys come from the campaign (step 1); here you set this destination's value.
- Next to redirect_url, pick Fixed value.
- Paste that destination's thank-you page URL, then save. Repeat for every destination.
- A destination with no page of its own? Switch its Customize Source API Response off. It sends nothing back and your form uses its fallback page.
3. Point your form at the value
Our reply to your form now includes the URL under destination_data:
{
"success": true,
"lead_id": "8f1c...",
"status": "ACCEPTED",
"destination_data": {
"redirect_url": "https://mortgagesite.com/thank-you-acme"
}
}In your form tool, set the redirect field to destination_data.redirect_url. On LeadCapture.io this is the Response Redirect Field under Lead Delivery. Always set a fallback redirect URL too, such as a general thank-you page.
Using a Lead Distro AI funnel instead
Our own funnels can name the matched destination with no extra setup. They read its Destination Profile: Company Name, Phone Number, Contact Email and Company Address. Open your funnel's thank-you page and type {{ in any text, or click Fields:
- {{match.company_name}} shows the destination's Company Name, for example You're all set to meet with {{match.company_name}}.
- {{match.phone_number}}, {{match.contact_email}} and {{match.company_address}} work the same way.
- Use the lead's own answers too: {{contact.name}}, {{contact.first_name}}, {{contact.phone}} and {{contact.email}}, for example Thanks {{contact.first_name}}!
- In the editor, a field that will fill in shows green and a broken one shows red. On the page preview each field shows as a chip, like Company Name.
- Add text after a | to show when there is no match: {{match.company_name|a local attorney}}.
- To send visitors to another page after they submit, open the thank-you page and turn on Redirect after submit. Type your own page, such as https://yoursite.com/thank-you, and every visitor goes there.
- To send them to the page of the destination that took the lead, do steps 1 and 2 above, then click Use the matched destination's page (or pick any key with Fields). Fill in If no page comes back, send them to for leads with no page. Leave it blank to show the thank-you page.
- Add a Button, set What it does to Start a phone call, and turn on Call the matched destination. The button dials that destination's Phone Number. Name it in the label too: Call {{match.company_name}}.
- For a Button set to Open a link, type {{ in Link to use a value from the destination, such as each destination's booking page. Add a key like booking_url on the campaign and give each destination its link as a fixed value (steps 1 and 2).
- A call or link button with nothing to use (the lead was not sold to one destination, or that destination has no phone or link) is hidden. Call Tracking never swaps the matched destination's number.
A funnel that uses these values waits up to 6 seconds for the lead to be checked and placed, and its button reads Finding your best match... meanwhile. Your score and TrustedForm filters are checked before the match. Funnels that don't use them answer right away. Keys you add under Customize Source API Response show up in Fields too, and a value set there wins over the profile.
The URL comes back only when exactly one destination accepts the lead. If the lead is rejected, shared with several destinations, or the destination takes longer than your wait time, redirect_url comes back empty and your form uses its fallback page.
